Renowned as one of Bangladesh’s most versatile and highest-paid leading actresses, Orchita Sporshia has delivered acclaimed performances across 150+ productions since 2011.
Sporshia began her career behind the lens as an assistant art director at Studio ASH and an assistant director at Apple Box Films. Though she aimed to be a filmmaker, a 2011 Airtel commercial pivoted her to acting. Her debut in Arunodoyer Tarun Dol earned her widespread recognition instantly.
Between 2011 and 2018, she defined Bangladeshi television with over 120 dramas, including the BBC-produced Ujan Ganger Naiya, which earned critical acclaim across its two seasons.
In 2018, Sporshia shifted her focus to film. Her feature debut Abar Boshonto (2019) swept the Meril Prothom Alo and CJFB awards. Her performance in the anthology Sincerely Yours, Dhaka premiered at the Busan International Film Festival, marking her global footprint.
By 2021, she tackled the role of a rape survivor in Nabab LLB, a performance that received significant critical praise for its raw intensity and depth. During this era, she also established her leadership on OTT platforms like HoiChoi and Chorki.
In 2023, she won the BIFA Award for Laal Mangsher Jhol and began prep for the biopic of S.M. Sultan, Laal Mia. Currently starring in Bachelor Point, she continues to balance commercial success with artistic integrity.
